Learn from professional and high level paintballers by watching and reading an in depth breakdown on what they are doing
Off The Break Shooting
This is truly a text book breakout. I don’t think I’ve ever captured a better example of exactly what you should do off the break as a back centre player.
For any back centre players out there who are learning the game, I’m going to break down what he is doing/thinking during this breakout.
Off the break, often alot of players will pull their gun up and shoot directly for where the snake player is going to dive, but when you do this your not utilizing the full potential of the paint your putting into the air.
By throwing 4/5 paintballs at a zone closer to the start box then moving it outwards towards the wide zone (making sure not to hold the first zone too long, or else you will miss the wide body) you are giving yourself a higher chance to hit multiple people opposed to just a wide runner.
As you can see, he does this absolutely perfectly. After he kills the two wide body’s he then pulls his gun inwards to control the back centre player and stop him from moving because he is now the widest body on the snake side.
Now that he has killed the wide players and is in control of the back centre player he communicates this to Caputo (ice the home), as it allows him to safely make his way up the snake and get a better angle on the other team to apply pressure and win the point.
Teamwork and Communication!
Watch as Retaliate paintball skillfully breaks down and communicates through a tense point with just over a minute left in the match.
Teamwork and Communication
This clip is an amazing example of how to work as a team! Watch as these players communicate and put in the player who is stopping them as a team instead of individually.
Working together to push down the field safely is always better than doing it alone.
